News Story--Organ transplant program flawed.

Interesting news story.  Not sure if anyone caught it.  About flaws with the UNOS program.

There sure as hell seems to be a problem.  With all the money involved I doubt they are "non-profit".  Transplants are a gold mine to everyone but the donor.  I say again.... there needs to be some compensation to the donor family.  Either a tax break or funeral expenses paid but something.

Someone should investigate UNOS to make sure everything is being done correctly there.

Ya many centers claim to be non profit but it really isn't a true non profit thing because they always make money.  Some states require such non profits to make a public report of finances and it seems they always show some sort of profit.

With the need for organs growing it must be a difficult task to keep up with how all the transplant centers are doing, but something needs to improve.
