These are those annoying phone calls from people whose bill you already paid by mail and their damned system has not picked it up yet!  Do NOT deal with Sallie Mae ever. They are the rudest most uncouth people I have ever has the pleasure of having to deal with over the phone.  I had to call them to reset my daughter's internet account. I am the coborrower and I pay the bill. Would the let me reset the account? No...I had to call my daughter and have her tell him over the two phones to reset the account.  Nevermind I have payed every payment on that damned account out of my checking account since it came due.  And when the account is three days overdue they send it to collections wherein even if you paid the damned bill that month you have to pay it again! One month I paid the 500 dollars on a bill of 189.   :rant;

I hate bill people! Discover card called me Monday to ask if I want to bring my account up to date. I didn't know what they were talking about. I have an online service that automatically pays the same amount on the same day every month. DIscover card showed they'd received this payment just before Christmas. Seems they increased my minimum payment and because my bills are payed automatically, I don't always look at them and didn't see this. So I had to make another full payment, pay a $10 fee to pay it over the phone, then battle my way back to customer service to make them drop my interest rate back down. Since they considered this a "missed" payment, they jacked up my interest rate.
