I want to say a big THANK YOU to Ang for the package I received this morning in the mail all the way from Australia.  What a lovely and thoughtful surprise.  You really are a sweetheart Andy!!!!

Yep, there's some vegemite and candy and an apron (now Ang, is that a hint for me to get back in the kitchen and get out of the restaurants???), and a keychain and a dish towel and some coasters with scenes of Melbourne and a nice note and BEST OF ALL,  massive amounts of thoughtfulness.  I truly do believe that it's the little things in life that make it special and Ang made my day today very special indeed.

Cadaveric transplant 1985
New upper-arm fistula April 2008
Uldall-Cook catheter inserted May 2008
Haemo-dialysis, self care unit June 2008
(2 1/2 hours X 5 weekly)
Self-cannulated, 15 gauge blunts, buttonholes.
Living donor transplant (sister-in law Kathy) Feb. 2009
First failed kidney transplant removed Apr.  2009
Second trx doing great so far...all lab values in normal ranges

Yeah, I've had both vegemite AND marmite.  I can eat them although I can't say I love them.  The biggest issue is the salt for me.  Ang sent me a little snack pack with a few crackers and a small sampling of the vegemite so I'm strategizing about when would be the best time to try it again.
