Home hemodialysis since May 07

« on: December 06, 2007, 08:52:51 AM »

In the never ending search for positive news to share, I sent in my December labs on Monday and got this report yesterday from our training nurse:

Based on these monthly results, we've decided to stop your dialysis, discontinue all your meds, let you skip your next three clinic visits, and take you out for pizza, french fries, and an Orange Julius . . .

(Just kidding.)

But honestly, there's nothing in these labs that even indicate you have renal failure.

Congrats!

This means we can stay on our 5 day a week home hemo schedule, and what effort I'm making to watch diet and fluids is working.
Bring on the holidays!!!

We just had our monthly clinic visit today and the results of the labs I drew last Monday were in and everything was in the excellent range, so our decision to go on a 3 on - 1 off schedule is doing just fine, it really helps Sharon knowing she gets a day off more often........

:2thumbsup;  Hubby does nocturnal (on a regular dialysis machine not nxstage)- 3 on 1 off then 2 on one off and the cycle goes on. His labs are fantastic too.
