Christmas is the most exciting time of the year. The school kids get six weeks off and all the shops close on Christmas day and Boxing Day. December is one of the hottest months of the year. Christmas in australia is amazing, there is nothing like it! Compared to America our ways and traditions may be different but we all celebrate Christmas for the same cause and reason.

Looked at the card for the first time last night. Awesome!!! Liked the song. Hubby wants to come to Australia for Christmas. he hates the snow. Amazing to look at the beautiful beaches when it is cold and snowy here. I could do with the warm temps too!!

All the big Department stores and shopping centres are open for the start of the mad sales season. You have to go early to get the bargins!!

Boxing Day is definitely a no-shopping day in Barbados. I am not sure what they do here in the British Virgin Islands. While Christmas Day is traditionally a family day where you tend to stay at home (after the hour or two in Queens Park early in the morning to promenade), Boxing Day is the day for picnics, the beach, excursions, etc. This time of the year is considered the coldest season in the Caribbean. But then you must understand that 23ºC (73.4ºF) is considered bitterly cold over here, and we hardly experience temps so low (but a girl can dream, can't she?)

Ah, well I read in the Black Friday thread that Boxing day was the busiest shopping day where it's celebrated... guess someone said it wrong,
