Has anyone ever heard of a game called Shut the Box?   I saw it in the National Geographic magazine catalog and it looked interesting.

Any other games out there?

Apples to Apples

Everyone gets a turn to be the judge. The judge picks a card with an adjective and reads the definition. You have cards in your hand that are people, places, things, and events, and you pick one that is closest to the adjective. You may not have anything close so just get rid of one card. You put the card face down. The judge picks them all up not knowing whose is whose and selects the card that most closely matches- in his/her own opinion mind you. The winner then takes the card from the judge (adjective card) which is green. The person with the most green cards at the end wins.

I like the good old Yahtzee, but I can't play it because I let my son take too many 'do-overs' lol
