 good morning people and patients, I have been on home hemo now for a year  its going not to bad so far  glad to see a site where we can chat back and forth a bit

anyone had to quit taking EPO ?  for the last 4 months  I havent needed it ?  I used it solid for 5 years  when at the clinic

That's quite cool, :)

Did you know that the glands right above the kidneys produce eprogen naturally? Some of you on dialysis who still have your own kidneys may still be producing enough epogen.......

Some people like myself still need Epogen........

It's been over a year since I stopped taking Epo. Hb still 13.5. Even then I was only on Epo once a month. Plus the lowest dose possible. What as happened to me is my iron is low, mines last time was 4.9 should be 200+

4.9 is very good, anything less than 3.8 is not good........where the heck 200+ come from?  ???
