:yahoo; I went to the Clinic on Monday and they looked at my exit site.  I can shower now.  It was weird at first because I didn't have it covered.  I did use tape to anchor the cath because I just didn't want it hanging down to low.  I almost freaked when the scabs fell off because it got wet.  I can't tell you enough how good it feels.  I still have this fear of the big "P" - Peritonitis.  I hope and pray I don't catch it.

I just had to share my excitement this week.

 :thx;

That first shower after starting PD is one of the most wonderful experiences in the world!  I wanted to stand under that warm water for an hour.  I looked like a wrinkled prune when I got out but I didn't care.  Some of the simplest things in life are absolutely GRAND!

Congratulations!

I don't think you can catch peritonitis, I think you develop it?

I think I took two or three showers a day the week they told me I could shower again...maybe that's the reason for the drought here in the southeat?  :oops;
