Background: My daughter was dx'd with "Mild Pulmonary Valve Stenosis" when she was 4 days old, so she sees a peds cardiologist, now once a year, but every few months when born. So, every time she goes to the cardiologist's they do an ray, an ekg and an ultrasound and they compare it to the previous ones done, this is how we find out if everything is staying the same or getting worse. We got great news today, as everything is still staying the same and she will be 6 next month, she will be seen next Jan for her 1 yr appt again, and if everything looks good again then she don't have to be seen for 2 years!! The doctor says that if things were going to get worse, they should already have done that by the age of 6, and so know we can spread the appts out more, but still watch for any symptoms of it getting worse. There is still always the fact it CAN get worse at anytime, it's just statistically they should have already so going off that we can spread the appts out longer but she will still need to be seen for the rest of her life. So, this news was very great to hear and has settled my fears down some. Just wanted to share.
