Hi everyone, I am an old dialysis nurse...I just left DaVita and went back to work at Emory University Hospital floating from floor to floor. It has been amazing that since I've been back at Emory almost every night that I work if there is a renal pt on the floor they will end up with me. When I left DaVita I was covering 5 count them 5 home hemo units, teaching classes to new nurses for them and helped write their policy and procedure books as well as their trainer manuals and easy guides. So if someone is out there and would like any questions answered don't be afraid to ask. I have a total of right at 16 years of renal experience out of 22 years of nursing, go ahead and try to guess my age (DaVita aged me a lot). Please don't hold it against me that I worked for DaVita. Just remember I am fluent in PD as well as hemo, and especially NxStage. If asked I will let you know which units were mine but you might be able to figure at least one of them out, since Emory is in Atlanta.
Thanks a bunch for allowing me to be a part of this,
Kruep

Welcome to our community! I am so glad that you are taking the time out to join us. We need everyone who has anything whatsoever to do with this renal challenge. And it is great to have a professional in the field. So look around, answer some questions, straighten out some errors, tell it like it is when necessary. We are so glad to have you in our IHD family (and it really is a family!). Here is a hug from all of us.

Welcome, Kruep! I'm also near Atlanta, though I use Fresenius, so I probably won't be able to guess which clinics were your's. Thanks for joining, and please share your wealth of knowledge!
