I just called on one of my husband's old
med. bills from '06.  This was from a psychiatrist
that the Dr. ordered when we fist found out Les
had failed kidneys.  Niether I nor my family requested
him.  The guy (I won't call him a Dr) saw Les in hospital,
my husband asked him to leave in about 5 min. as he knew he
did not want nor asked for a visit from a shrink.  Well, we now
owe him $350- it seems this guy was not accepting our insurance,
so we are responsible for this bill.  I told the recept. hubby is a
dialysis patient, we didn't ask for a shrink to visit, etc- no matter,
"he still wants his money"
I really have to say that themajority of the Drs. are so damn greedy,
it is just amazing that they sleep at nite.  I told this "nurse" we would
send maybe $10 mnthly, as I did not want the "Dr" nor his wife to
starve.  She didn't like it, but well, guess what-  I am at the point where
I don't care.  Sorry, just had to get it off my chest :banghead;

Yep... sucks. I had so many hospital/doctor bills in 2004-2005 that I let them all go on my credit report and that is where they will sit for 7 yrs until they fall off. I don't have the money to pay them, and I won't have it.. so, for me... they will not get paid.. they will fall off my credit report and reach the Statue of Limitations and they will have to toss the bill.

Good luck hun.  :grouphug;

I have just received a similar bill from a mental health practice that I visited when I was really down in the dumps.  I was referred by my social worker at the center to go to this place because they would accept my insurance and it would keep the cost down.  Well the visit was a joke as all she wanted to do was to write me a perscription and send me on my way, I still don't quite understand, I thought I was going to talk with someone but she implied that wasn't what she did?  Anyway, I paid my co-pay and never went back.  Now I owe something like $350 which is totally insane.

I couldn't agree more.  $350  FOR WHAT

Angela, George, thanks for your replies,

I really have a good mind not to pay this damn thing-
it is really irking me to no end.  If this guy didn't accept
our insurance why go into my husband's room in the 1st
place?  Also, as "professional Drs" it is obvious that they
don't care that they are putting additional stress on already
stressed out physically ill people.
the Hypocratic Oath- hahaha!!  It really is hyp-ocratic in some
cases
