Anyone else watching this?  I'm finding it fascinating - although it is pointing out just how bad my history teacher was in high school.  Some of the things they are talking about, I've never heard about before - like the 20-some ships sunk off the East coast of the US by German subs.

"Asbestos Gelos"  (As-bes-tos yay-lohs) Greek. Literally, "fireproof laughter".  A term used by Homer for invincible laughter in the face of death and mortality.

I heard about it but forgot to Tivo it.  All of Ken Burns stuff is top of the line and a joy to watch.  I saw a few minutes of it at bedtime but wish I could have seen more.  Hopefully it will be on at a different time or channel so I can record it.

Hubby is watching it, so by proxy I guess I am watching it.  The hunny is a WWII historian.

My grandparents are watching it.  So I keep popping in and out to catch some bits and pieces.
It's very interesting.
