Wade and I.

« on: September 16, 2007, 08:00:10 PM »

I've been working pretty hard since we moved in our place, and since Wade got his NxStage, to make our living room pretty cool for him. Well, we finished it up this wekeend, so I thought i'd show some pics!
It's small, and kitchy, cozy, and totally us!

Girlfriend of Wade, on dialysis since 5/11/07 and NxStage since 8/20/07. We're hoping for a transplant as soon as his "FGP" is gone!

You are doing a great job being a caregiver. We know it isn't easy.  I am sure Wade is so glad to have you in his life.  You are an adorable couple!

Great setup.  I have to ask, where does your drain line go?

Thanks guys! It was fun to have a project.

We have a really long drainline, and you can't see, but there's a hallway right next to Wades setup, and the drain goes down the hall into the bathroom! It's a pain when it's early in the morning, and I trip over it for not being awake enough to register its there.

when my drain line when down the hall into the bathroom  I taped it to the floor along the wall or I used the small hooky things used for telephone or computer lines.  they glue (easy to remove) to the floor and a little hook holds the line in place.   I don't know if this has come up - I drain the left over saline thru the drain line to clear the waste from it.  the drain line will connect to the red or blue spike.   If you need an extension for the drain line (we used 1 1/2) you can use the cover from the buttonhole needle, just slide the tube over it.  I never had a leak.  So glad you are finally home
