:waving;
Thought I would pop in to say HI.
I am the caregiver of my 36 yr. old daughter, who I will call Red,  who has been on dialysis for 8 !/2 yrs. She had multiple things wrong with her prior to dialysis. And since dialysis has started a multitude of more problems has popped up. But as the new problems arise I just go to my "One Day at a Time" Motto.
She deals with dialysis pretty well. Loves to go see all of her friends. Mind you she does had her bad days. Her unit is a very small one and everyone is pretty much just like family.
I have looked through the site and love it. It is a place where you can vent and know there are people out there in the same boat you are in and your NOT ALONE!

Welcome to IHD RedsMom (and Red).  This site is awesome!  If you ever feel alone and no one understands there is usually someone on the site to listen.  You will also get the truth which sometimes people don't want to hear.  So, take some time to read all the categories and jump right in.

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.

Welcome to the community. You will find alot of information here for you and your daughter.  I was 36 when I started dialysis, so she is not alone!  I am 44 now.
