Hi, My name is John. I'm 27 years old from Chesterfield .
I was born with Polycystic Kidney Disease and currently on haemodialysis 3 days a week.
It has been a difficult 27 years with plenty of ups and downs, but with lots of support from my family and very good friends they have helped enable me to stay positive and enjoy life as much as i can.
I've had one transplant when i was 6 years old which failed after 9 excellent years, i had a tough time for a number of years after it failed and now finally settled and doing well on haemodialysis.
It can be hard at times but i try hard not to let it get me down and always look at the positives out of life.

I am new to this site and would really like to talk to others suffering from Kidney Failure, so please reply to my post.  :2thumbsup;

I am sorry you've been through so much at an early age, but happy to hear that your life has stableized a bit. My family has PKD too, somehow it missed me but my daughter had renal failure due to a defective bladder. I hope you find lots of friends and support here. We can learn a thing or two from you, I'm sure!

I pop in and out of chat when I'm home (I do Dialysis M,W,F, nights so those nights I'm not on-line).  Look for me on T, R, Sat & Sun though. :)

Great to see you here!

Just like to mention love the idea that you have put your "story" the way you have in your signature line such a great idea, gives you in a glimpse what you have gone through.
