I'll be having surgery on Thursday for evacuation of my graft. There is a large collection of fluid in and around my graft. It's a possibility depending whether or not the fluid includes blood I may lose my graft. Worse case scenario another graft placement in a couple of weeks. The surgeon is inserting a drain It's likely I'll be in the hospital for a couple of days. I hope this post makes sense I'm upset. I would appreciate some positive thoughts. Thanks again, I'm really fortunate to have found this site.

I have had many graft surgery's... they suck, but you will do good and hopefully you'll get your graft issues fixed soon.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. Donnia, I did get a good laugh. Hospital food isn't exactly gourmet cuisine. I think I'll cheat and have someone sneak me in something from the deli a couple of blocks down or maybe the taco shop.....decisions ......... I'll go to sleep on surgery day dreaming of food. :) Maybe, I'll sneak out myself when nobody is looking. Think anyone will notice a lady walking down the street in a hospital gown? You guys are great I'm in much better spirits..... Boxman I think you are right my dear Chargers need more than prayers they need a miracle.

How did your procedure go?  Was it painful?  I hope you're doing well.

I go in for my 2nd fistula on the 31st.  The one they placed in my wrist isn't working, so now he's going up into the elbow.  I'm nervous.  It seems really tender there and I can't imagine what it will feel like or look like.  OR how long it will take to heal.   :(

Well, Kelly it wasn't a success I have another fluid accumulation and will be undergoing surgery again soon. I live in San Diego County where all of the fires are burning. I was scheduled for surgery on the 24th. however all non-emergency surgeries have been postponed. Hopefully, I'll be able to have surgery soon as my arm is painful. I pray the fires are controlled soon. It's a devastating situation for so many who have lost everything. Thank you so much for asking for an update. I wish I had better news. Kelly, I'm sorry to hear that your first fistula isn't working. I wish you all the best on the 31st. I'll be thinking of you Kelly and sending positve thoughts your way. Try not to be too nervous. I know it's difficult. I have those anxious feelings too. I don't worry the appearance of my graft. While, it may not be beautiful to others, it's beautiful to me, it's my lifeline. Again, all the best.  :waving;

Thank you!   :thx;   I will be thinking of you, as well.

Those fires sound horrible!  I hope you're safe.  Keep in touch.  I usually check this site once or twice a day.

Take care!
