Rob showing off his pot of gold!

Rob and I are so excited, we are adopting an 8 year old boy! He is such a great kid, so smart and so funny! He moves in officially with us on August 18. We have been wanting a child for years, I have issues with infertility and Rob doesn't want to pass down his medical issues to someone else. There are so many kids waiting to be adopted in our state, so we went with that. We couldn't have asked for a better kid. He has brought so much light, love and fun into our lives! He knows about Rob's health issues and is ok with it, just doesn't want to see the dialysis happen. That's fine with us! He goes and plays with the dogs or hangs out while it's happening. We love being parents!

Hey Mom and Dad! Congratulations on your adoption!
Now comes the most interesting part...raising them to adulthood and watching them grow!

Congratulations. Adoption is such a wonderful thing. I have always wanted to adopt but it is so expensive. Now that my daughter is getting older, I really want another child.

You can still adopt! We are going through the state because there are soooo many children in the foster care system. It just broke our hearts to see how many kids are out there in each state. So many times people forget about these kids, but they are so great! Plus it doesn't cost thousands of dollars. The other night we were driving our little guy back to his home, he didn't want to go, he wanted to stay with us, just killed me! Then we saw one of his friends and he introduced us as his parents. I totally teared up! This is all he wanted in life was to be loved, feel safe and have parents of his own. . That we can definitely give him

We are having so much fun!!! He had his first visit to our house on Wednesday and he loved it. He really enjoyed the dogs and they just loved him too. He thought his room was the best room ever. He loves his bunkbeds and decorated with N.E. Patriots and Boston Red Sox memorabilia. He hated to leave though , it killed me to bring him back home. We have him on the weekend though, so we are excited. I can't wait till he moves in! I never knew you could love someone so much. I love Rob to death, but with a child it's so different.
