I thought I heard that Drew Carey is going to be the new
host for Price is Right.  I was sort of disappointed.  I don't care
much for him.  I don't care much for the show but thought
Bob Barker was a great host.

It will be hard to replace Bob Barker, most of us grew up with him!  However, I do like Drew Carey and think he will be able to pull it off!

Who the new host of an ancient game show is, is pretty trivial.  Just think...you could have had Rosie O'Donnell...Drew will be fine...there is a god!

That is true Livecam.  Glad it wasn't Rosie.  That's for sure.

I love Drew...ever seen "Who's Line is it Anyway?" (American version) He's great! That being said, ANYONE would have been better than Rosie.

There is no way in the world someone could replace Bob Barker as the host of the Price Is Right and have it be remotely the same.  He is just an irreplaceable host.  I think out all the people that I had heard were either being considered or had offered to host the show that Drew Carey was a very good choice.  Then again I enjoyed the Drew Carey show and love the American version of Who's Line Is It Anyway.  It has already been said that the show will get a slight makeover/updating so it doesn't seem like he is trying to replace Bob barker as much as making the show his own.  The one thing that I thought was cool that Bob Barker brought up in an interview is that Drew Carey called Bob Barker and told him he would continue to sign off the show in the same manner Bob has for all these years.  This was a relief to Bob who was quoted as saying he was planning to call Drew to ask him if he would continue that tradition.

He probably is but you don't need to be some big macho guy to host The Price Is Right just charisma enough to keep the audience going.

Couldn't be too much of a mommy's boy.  He is a former Marine.

If anything I would think he would be good for the show.  While Bob was a good guy, that show really needs updated in all aspects.

Nope, I don't like Drew Carey.  I prefer Rosie over Drew, but I wouldn't want either of them to host "The Price is Right".  So since Drew is hosting, I'm pretty much done with that show.
I think they should of found some young guy or gal that is unknow or semi-new to the Hollywood scene to host the show. Eh, what do I know?  :twocents;
