Hello everyone,

My name is Glenda and I am 32 years old.  I am new to dialysis. I am currently on hemo but I will be changing to PD soon. I have been on dialysis now for 2 1/2 months.  I think it has been the scariest thing I have had to go thru.  I am glad that I found this site.  I hope to meet and make many friends.

Have a great day!            :yahoo;

Welcome to our community.  This is just the place for you to be.  Here there is information (lots of it), support, fun, a place to vent when you need to.  This has become a second family to lots of us.  Looking forward to hearing much more from you.  Let us know how your shift from HD to PD goes.  I am on HD as that is the only type offered in the Caribbean country where I live.  Welcome again!

Let me give you a brief overview of the site.T

There are lots of interesting discussions in the off topic area: http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?board=5.0.

There is even a fiction story being written by our members in this area: http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?board=17.0

Home dialysis discussions and discussion about PD are in this topic: http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?board=25.0
Probnably of interest to you if you are going to do PD dialysis.

The area that generates a lot of discussion about dialysis is the general discussion topics:
http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?board=2.0
This area of the forum is where the meat and potatoes of the dialysis world are discussed by the members.
Feel free to post anything you want to discuss or if you have a question.

There is also a search box at the top of the boards to help you in finding topics of interest or answers to your questions.  You can refine your search, too.

I hope this short tour has helped you become better acquainted with IHateDialysis.com.
