So, I've done it. It's been almost 5 years since my kidney transplant (cousin gave me one of hers on her birthday in '02) and now I'm taking the next plunge. I've been feeling pretty well so now I'm officially on the list for a pancreas transplant. My kidney tx was a pretty rough ride so I'm not too worried about the new surgery. I doubt very much (knock on wood) that it will be more difficult than the kidney. I had my tx in Minneapolis and they are now doing pancreas txns without prednisone - so I won't have to change my meds appreciably from what I'm on now (Myfortic and Rapamune). Since I had a living donor, I'm not sure how I'm handling the waiting. The truth is I have been obsessed with my cell phone for a long time, so carrying it with me everywhere isn't such a departure from the norm.  :lol;

Any suggestions on things I need to prepare before hand? I'm in Canada so I'll have to be running to the airport once I get the call.

Thanks.

Cora
