Fevers are a funny thing i have had so many i should change my name to "fever boy." Once when i was around 12 i just finally got out of the hospital. I went in when it was cold and came out in mid-summer. My parents always took all of us there are six down the shore. Now i live in Pennsylvania so we would go to New Jersey. At that time we went to Ocean city. Anyway i was only out a few weeks. I was very week and had a tube that came out of my bladder and attached to bag that i straped on my leg. It did'nt take a rocket science to know what went in that clear bag. I woke many a night with a wet bed and it wasn't from a dream! So we go to the shore and i am the only kid in long pants. At night we go on the board walk to go on the many rides they have there. I remember going to get tickets and i felt it come on real fast i was shaking so hard i couldn't even talk. I told my dad and he said to go back to the car and lie down. I did and some hours later the rest came. When i got back to the house we were renting i layed down. I put on several covers and my mom bought in water. I felt the need to sleep so i did. As i slept i dreamed of my best friend that died of cancer he was 11. He died two days after i was in the hospital. His name was mark. Mark and i were in a field and i was telling him that i was sick and he was smileing and saying not to worry. I told him i could close my eyes and be back in my room then close them again and be with him. He just kept saying he understood but i would be ok. I woke up to the smell of alcohol my mom and dad were rubbing me down. My fever finally broke. I never forgot that fever.

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.
