Going through life tied to a chair!

« on: January 22, 2009, 04:57:00 PM »

Has anyone here used Turbo Tax?  I went to the site and you can use it before you pay.  It got me started and I guess before you send them in you have to pay??  When do you pay?

I'm having problems though because When I moved in March of 2008 I rented my house out in Sacramento.  Well, Turbo Tax is thinking I just bought the rental.  I didn't, I bought the house 8 years ago.  So I think it is figuring the depreciation wrong.

Plus I'm a little early.  I need to wait until after January 31 when all my information is mailed to me.

You just sign on and make your account and save it where you are, and you will be able to go back later and add stuff.  As for fixing your mistake you just must have put something in wrong.  As for paying for it in the end it will ask you for a cridet card number.  Unless you get money back you have the option to deduct it from that money.  But I do like turbro tax it is easy.  Good luck

I've used Turbo Tax for the past few years.  Simple, quick, they ask me questions about things I never thought of.  I'm happy with it.

I'm fianlly done.  It cost $84 because I have rental income and I lived in CA and had to pay state income tax on the house and I worked for 2 months there before I moved.  I never get a refund! I always have to pay.  This took me probably 5 hours because I read everything.  I don't know if it is worth it.  I'm exhausted and am so sick of taxes.

I may just pay H&R Block next year!

when i had to file i used whatever was on the irs web site that allowed me to file federal for free. turbo tax was one of them. colorado state taxes are filed from the final income figure you use on federal , very easy and free if you mail it in yourself.  since i'm now on disability and don't work i don't have to file, you know i rather miss it. i'd much rather be working!

IHATETAXS wonder if that is a website  :rofl;

My brother does mine  :bow;....

My only advice for people this year is to file as EARLY as you can.
For if your not fast enough you may not get a refund but rather a I.O.U.............

Quess i should pay a visit to my brother and heed my own advice
