Done with Liberty Cycle

I have been on PD since 05/6/2018 and I am on my 9th going on to be 10th Liberty machine!!! YES that many in 6 months. Is anyone else having increasing issues with this machine? My issues range from had a few  that have leaked, a few that have given me critical red error screens mainly scale reading errors. And the most common is it failing to complete drains. I mean it will show an expected drain and actual drain is not even close to the expected drain. I ALWAYS have to run a stat drain to finish the drain. There are no alarms and no issues with my line as i have tested this by going to a manual drain bag and i empty within 10 min with UF pulls.

Tonight i called for more support and had to hang up as the person on the other end had no clue about the machine (he didnt even know what a iQ drive was).

Im really thinking of switching to baxtor, but worried as my center says the see alot more paratenitius cases with the baxotr due to the lack of the safety pin and the roller clamps coming loose. Has anyone made the switch and was happy with it? The only other concern i have is i like the large display on the liberty due to vision issues, and apparently my center is not able to get the baxtor amia with the large touch screen.

I have used a Baxter machine for three years.  I have never had any infection.  I saw video of the liberty cycler and it looked like a lot of extra work and set up.  I tried the new AMIA from Baxter when the clinic first started to use them.  They took a lot longer to set up than the homechoice.  I sent the first one back because it was so noisy.  The second one was just as bad.  I am a very light sleeper.  In the end I went back to the Baxter Homechoice.  I did like the size of the AMIA and the screen but the noise would constantly wake up my wife.  So back to the quite Homechoice.

When I was on PD I had a Baxter Home Choice.

In the three YEARS that I used it I did have a couple of bad cartridges and had to change them.  And Once after two years of use the machine would fail and needed replacement.  Baxter had a new on on my doorstep the next day.

I don't know anything about the newer machine.

I wouldn't be the least bit afraid to go back to the Baxter Home Choice if I were to return to PD.

I've used the Baxter HomeChoice for 3 years.  So far, no infection.  If you pay attention to what you're doing, it's not that easy to contaminate yourself.  I've used the Liberty a couple of times in the hospital.  I didn't like it very much.

PD Infections are not caused by the machine used.  More like an error by the PERSON setting it up.  Like me.  I caused my own infection simply because I was not careful enough ONCE.  And that's all it takes, once.

I have the same problem. I’m on machine number 15 in 2 1/2 years. I actually just posted about it.
