So, here I am, 30, with T1 Diabetes (since I was 10) and a brand new case of ESRD. I don't have to tell everyone how much it sucks, and how depressed I am. It could be worse, but it could be better, too, couldn't it? I wish I had something positive to say with this introduction but I have nothing, NOTHING, nice to say about this. I can't say I can offer anyone encouraging words, what I can offer is a whole lot of humor, sarcasm, and... I don't know. Some cute pictures of my animals. Good to meet you all.

I’m glad you joined the group. It’s good you are (likely) googling for information. Our members have experience to share which might help you along on your journey. Plus others probably can relate to your frame of mind right now.

I went to dialysis with a ex chef who entered ESRD through diabetes and just after listing on the transplant list lucked in to a double transplant cured his ESRD and his diabetes and he now is one of the happiest people I have ever met. There is always hope.

Welcome to IHD!
If it weren't for sarcastic humor I may never have a chance to laugh.
You're with great company here. Many of us have learned long ago to laugh in the face of adversity. You should do well.

Hello KeenString. Welcome to the site. I'll be glad to see those cute animal pics, particularly dogs, wolves, foxes, etc....
I'll also welcome the sarcastic humour. But be careful, some people here have thin skins.
