Low Platelets, Inactive on list

Hubby has been on the list for almost 4 years....he's "inactive" now, because of "low platelets".  He's had a bone marrow biopsy, and multiple blood studies...everything is normal.  That's apparently not enough, so now he's being sent to a liver doctor.  He has no liver disease symptoms....and I know that dialysis itself can cause multiple problems, including low platelets.  I'm so totally frustrated...a kidney is what he needs, and we've wasted almost 6 months on these "tests".

Sorry...just venting....I am beyond being understanding about all this.

Anyone been through this?
