Hello, my name is John. Everything started for me on February 10 2001. I have ESRD, from uncontrolled high blood pressure. Started on pertineal dialysis. And now have been on hemo for 11 yrs. Now at 47 it's been a long road. I keep faith and trust that all will be ok. One day at a time

Hello John. Welcome to the board.

My kidney problems were caused by high blood pressure too (although diabetes helped). Not been on it as long as you though (less than a year HD, but some chemical dialysis about 18 months ago).

Hi John!

Welcome to IHD.

Hi BP may have contributed to my kidney failure.  Over 200 a lot of the time off/on for over 30 years.  I often think I am Lucky that it didn't occur sooner.

It makes me laugh when the Clinic tells me they are happy with my pressure running in the 150's, finally.  A little more meds I can get down to 130's, even 120's, but picking up sticks in the yard I keep passing out and just laying around instead of getting anything done.

I look forward to hearing from you regularly if you have the time.  And inclination.

Take Care,

Charlie B53
