Hi all. My name is kati. I'm 28 I live in Dothan Alabama and I have been on dialysis for about 3 weeks.  I have had two kidney transplants in my lifetime with 7 years of dialysis between them. So I'm not new to it I'm just having to  readjust again.

Welcome to the group.  May I ask if you now have four kidneys in your belly? Is there remove for more?

Thanks so much for joining.  Losing a transplant is not something that I've read many posts about on this forum.  Could you tell us a bit more about what caused your kidney failure?  Could I also ask how it has felt for you to lose a transplant (if you don't want to talk about that, then please accept my apologies for asking)?

Welcome to our community.

Welcome to IHD.  I can only try to imagine the heartbreak of losing a transplant, but for you to go through this twice! Especially after having them work so well.

I Pray your third time is a Charm, working perfectly and lasting.

Hi Kati!
I was 28 when I started HD...I'm on HD and am currently STILL waiting for my first transplant! I know exactly what you are going through. What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger.

Hello KatiLynn.

Sorry to hear about your loss of your transplant. Several people have asked for details and if you want to answer that is fine, but don't feel that you have to. If you don't want to talk about it and don't even want to say why that is fine too. You can ignore those posts and just go on as though no one asked. No one will mind. We all have things we don't want to talk about.

But do feel free to talk about ANYTHING you want to talk about, we have plenty of listening ears.
