Now that is becoming obvious that Alabama is electing a pedophile as senator and we elected a serial pervert president I propose the following changes
GOP becomes POP  stands for Party of Pedophiles or Party Of Perverts.
Alabama state motto from we protect our rights towe protect our pedophiles.
New tourism motto for Alabama. Alabama where men are men and children and sheep are scared.

This isn't about D or R.

I would not expect a hard core Democrat to vote for a Republican candidate just to keep a Democrat with a record of extreme scuminess out of the senate.  When all is said and done, the question is really "will this person vote in what I perceive to be my best interests?".    Few people are going to say "A represents my interests better, but he is an evil person, so I am going to vote for B who will vote against my interest because he is a better person".   One need only look to how many supported Bill Clinton for an example applied in the other direction.   I wonder what name for the Democratic Party would be rendered appropriate by his election.

This behavior does not really differ if you are a Republican or a Democrat.

If a democrat was running with the record of al Frankenstein I would vote republican.  Roy Moore’s record is of a child abuser, multiple victims have been identified and the local mall had banned him because of his behavior.  As a democrat I will also state al Frankenstein should resign.  Go ahead republicans vote for the pedophile and realize what you have put in office.

You are an exception to the rule.

My vote does not count since I live in MA and the D will always win (or get all the electoral votes), so I do not have to confront this issue.

The Republicans have a pedophile as a mascot, and Alabama seems to want one as a senator.  Plus the pervert in chief is going to campaign for Roy Moore a known child abuser.  Wow I am glad to be a democrat I get to hang with a better class of people.

No doubt that the dems mentioned are scum.  However non of their victims was a 14 year old child abused by a 30 year old republican.  To equate the two actions is just part of the Republican character.  They forget two speakers ago Dennis Hasert was convicted of money laundering because he was paying off a victim he abused as a coach of a high school wrestling team.

I expected to see civil discourse on this thread.  The left/right hatred is wrong.  We are all Americans.  We are all entitled to our own opinion.   Both sides have flaws.  That's why I am an independent.  I don't let the liberal television or right-wing television talking heads shape my thinking.  There's too much propaganda coming out from both directions.  Both sides are corrupt and funded by the same elite.

I'm not American. And neither are any of my neighbours! (Hint: Note how I spelt "neighbours".) (Hint 2: Look at the pretty blue box Laurel and Hardy are looking out of.)
