PD logistics: disconnecting, cycler & pets

LOL NO outfit is complete without a little dog (or cat) hair!

No matter how clean my shirts are when it pull them on it seems to instantly gain hair.

Since my PD cath is mid-chest I have to lift my shirt sort of inside out so it is the 'skin' side showing. I hold the shirt tucked under my chinny chin chin while making my connection or disconnection. All the pet hairs are trapped inside the 'fold' of the shirt.

Seems to be working fine. 2 1/2 years, no infection, yet.

Your anxiety is getting to you. You may be over thinking things that may not be a problem. It just takes a little time, and practice, and it will all work out fine for you.

But it also is a good thing as it proves the seriousness if your treatment and the huge part you have in making it all work.

This Dialysis thing is not for the faint of heart. You will learn that you can, and will, overcome the seemingly impossible tasks, and do it every day. With a little time you will look back as be able to truthfully say that it really isn't that difficult.
