My mother is on dialysis 2 times a week. She is 78 years old. My father drives her to the dialysis center, he is 75 years old.
I work abroad and can only go back home once or twice a year.
I'm so worried about my parents because they are both old.
But it is also very hard for me to resign from my job because I also have a family of my own.
I pray for my mother everyday that God will still give her a longer life. I also pray for my father because he is also getting old.
Thank God that I have a cousin who helps in taking care of my mother.
When I went home for a vacation, we prayed the Holy Rosary every night. And even when I went back abroad, they continued to pray the Holy Rosary.
We thank God for giving my mother strength everyday. And even though my mother feels weak sometimes especially after dialysis
this is what God said in the bible:

"My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness."   2 Corinthians 12:9

Has anybody heard of Intra lifestyle food supplement?
I've read a lot of good testimonials and have seen a number of videos in youtube. They said that Intra food supplement
has help a lot of dialysis patients improve their kidney functions. Some patients said that they were advised by their nephrologists
that they don't need dialysis anymore because their creatinine went back down to normal level and their lab values are already normal.
Their labs just need to be monitored monthly.

Hello and welcome to IHD.  I'm so glad you joined us.  I'm sure it is a worry to you and your fears will stabilize with education on the disease and the treatment.  Keep reading and praying.  God is good but He does take us all home one day.  Even then He promises no more tears or dialysis machines .... 

I have been doing renal replacement therapy for almost 30 years if that helps you any.  AND 78 is not that old.  LOL

Read more about why kidneys fail.  Read about the Kidney and how it works on a normal person.  It is an amazing organ. 

If your kidneys are not functioning the last thing you need to do is push fluid and a bunch of crap that some online advertisement told you to try.  If you kidneys are not clearing toxins then the stuff you eat or drink can build up and make that worse and bring those toxins to a lethal level.

If you are already on dialysis we don't look at creatinine any longer.  We look at potassium and phosphorous and fluid amounts.

Nephrologists still look at the creatinine level as well as the potassium level, phosphorus, mag+ level, calcium and other electrolytes. They also look at the uric acid level.
That's why doctors order BMP and CBC every month to monitor the patient's condition most especially the patient's kidney function.

I'm also having some doubts about the Intra food supplement.
Whether or not it can actually help improve kidney health.

I have talked to some families of patients who are on dialysis.
They told me that Intra food supplements has help lower the creatinine level.
And it has also improve patients stamina and activity level.

I don't know if it's really true, that Intra food supplement can actually help improve kidney function.
I've read a lot of testimonies, I've seen a number of videos on youtube.
They said that it really works. But still I'm having some reservations.

Maybe it would really convince me if I will be
able to talk to a former dialysis patient who has been off dialysis
because of the Intra food supplement.

That's why I posted this topic on this site.
