For those using a cycler and stay 'wet' all day having a Last Fill without a dwell and drain at the End of Treatment.

I noticed a curious thing this morning.  I pushed the Down button expecting to see the volume counter climb up to 2000.  I was anxious to get done so I could get busy.  The counter paused at 1865 and held there.  I started checking my line thinking I must be standing on it or something.  Nope, the machine switched the display to End of Treatment.

I'm somewhat confused, I had always thought I carried 2 liters all day and some days my Initial Drain doesn't have much UF.   I am wondering if the machine wastes this difference in priming the lines.  So I will try to remember to check this again for the next few days to see if it is somewhat consistent.

This would make a small difference in my daily UF as I've always ASSUMED that 2 Liter fill.   This would make my UF on my Initial Drain 135 more than what I have always thought it was.  This may not seem like much, but there are days when I 'thought' my UF was slightly negative.   Finding out now it may not have been.

I am using the 3 prong cassette, the drain and patient lines are much longer than those on the 4 prong cassette, but the bag hoses are all the same length so it really shouldn't make any real difference priming the bag hoses.  Again I am ASSUMING the patient line is primed off the heater bag so this should not have any effect on the Last Bag Volume.

So I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this?  Or if you could try checking your last fil volume and see if it is what we have always thought it is.

After checking mine for the next few days I will repost what I find.

I'd sent an email to my PD Nurse about this.  She called me about noon to tell me 'This is NORMAL' that it does take a bit to fill all lines and prime.

Evidently 'They' have know this all  along.

Is my memory faulty?   As I don't remember this part.

Is this a sign?   Don't bother telling me, I'll probably just forget.
