Hi :  My name is  Liz and am a care partner for my husband Joe. We use Nx Stage at home. Also a Renal RD and enjoying learning about other aspects of dialysis. Be happy to share what I know but remember your dietitian knows what is best for you.

Welcome to ihd, turtley! My husband also uses Nxstage. In addition to being in the comfort of his own home, he likes it because more frequent dialysis allows him to still enjoy the occasional baked potato. Fully loaded.

Husband had ESRD with Type I Diabetes -Insulin Dependent.
I was his care-partner for home hemodialysis using Nxstage December 2013-July 2016.
He went back to doing in-center July 2016.
After more than 150 days of being hospitalized with complications from Diabetes, my beloved husband's heart stopped and he passed away 06-08-21. He was only 63.
