Hi everyone.  My father, who went to his primary care physician regularly, was referred to a nephrologist suddenly. He was diagnosed with kidney disease and had to start dialysis.  He had PD catether surgery and AV fistula surgery.  I'm hoping this forum will allow me to learn as much as I can as I have been mostly disappointed by most physicians.

My usual greeting is I am glad you found the site, yet very sorry for you that you had to. :welcomesign;

You will find answers to your questions  here, just ask.

Make your neph get you comfortable. Keep asking him questions until you are. He can take the few minutes to answer your questions.

Hi
It takes time to understand and get information from doctors of all kinds....write down your questions and warn them you will be asking...if they don't help you generally a nurse will know just as much.
Good luck.
