Lil Johnnie came home from school all excited waving his new book,
'mommy, mommy,  I learned new words today',
'and what new words did you learn today', asks mommy while busily preparing a snack for Johnnie,
'a frickin' elephant',
was Johnnies reply,
long silence
Mommy took a deep breath, then asked....
What did you just call it dear?

                                     a frickin' elephant!

'Look mommy, It says so on the picture!'
 And so it did....

 African Elephant

 Hooked on phonics!
Ain't it wonderful?

Hate to say it but I haven't laughed quite like THAT in a long time. Go figure. It pays to be silly sometimes. It really does. Thanks for the comic relief, Talker!

Husband had ESRD with Type I Diabetes -Insulin Dependent.
I was his care-partner for home hemodialysis using Nxstage December 2013-July 2016.
He went back to doing in-center July 2016.
After more than 150 days of being hospitalized with complications from Diabetes, my beloved husband's heart stopped and he passed away 06-08-21. He was only 63.

Thank you.
One tree, does not a forest make, yet to have altered ones perception favorably, however brief, is balm to my empathetic being.
