Count F's If You're a Genius
This will blow your mind... Just do it - but don't cheat! You would only be cheating yourself!
Try this, its actually quite good. But don't cheat!
Quickly read through the following text and count the number of F's in it.

FINISHED FILES ARE THE RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS

Managed it?
Scroll down only after you have counted them!

OK?
How many?     Three?

 :banghead;

Wrong, there are six - no joke! Read again!
    FINISHED FILES ARE THE
    RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC
    STUDY COMBINED WITH THE
    EXPERIENCE OF YEARS

The reasoning is that the brain cannot process the word "OF".
Incredible or what?
Anyone who counts all six F's on the first go is a genius. Three is normal.

Well, I counted six on the first go (and on the second, just to make sure), but I'm no genius.  I think I'm perhaps more detail oriented than most people, that's all.

... I started off with a very quick glance and counted only three,
but I noticed at the same time that something was not quite right ...
...  so I counted again (a bit slower this time) and came up with the correct number of six.
... It is most interesting how our brain works/associates and I would like to know how come,
that at my first very quick glance I only counted three but I felt & knew this was not correct
and because of that I counted it again - a bit more slowly - and so I came up with the correct number of six...
Could this exercise prove, how easily our perception can go wrong, if we give certain matters only a quick glance ?

Bach was no pioneer; his style was not influenced by any past or contemporary century.
He was completion and fulfillment in itself, like a meteor which follows its own path.
