Hello I am 29 years old as of March 1,07. Ihave been on dialysis over twenty years as of March 1. I became ill due to a strep infection that went to my kidneys that turned in to Rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis. I lost all kidney funtion within a week and a half. All this happened at the age of 8 and was on dilaysis by the age 9 on my 9th b-day. I have been through alot and I am a shy person and very closed off. I have had more surgies in one month then most will have i a liftime. I have had a transplant did not work out laste a year then got a real bad infection and lost it. I have also been on peritoneal (capd/ccpd) to many infections so that did not work out. All i have left is HEMO,and i will tell you this i will not do this forever, but thats another story. My story is very long and would take days to write so I am open to most questions. It is also very hard to talk about it. Thats all i can write for know but will deffinitly write more later. Oh Yeah im a TEXAN,,lo.

Hello Tex, and Welcome to ihatedialysis.com.  Wow, 20 years on dialysis, you will find here on the site that there are several long timers of dialysis as well.  I understand how you could be tired of it though, sorry PD didnt work out for you but have you thought of Home Hemo?  I hope to hear more from you.  Take care...  :2thumbsup;
