This morning the results of the Scottish vote have come through and 55% of all Scots want to continue
and remain to be part of Britain, whilst 45% of votes went for an independence.
I am very happy about these results, not only because this result makes it easier for my history exams,
but it could have been a very messy divorce with probably a few nasty court-cases thrown in...
...  and all that aggravation would not have been good for the country as a whole ....
....Furthermore: the Scots have always been very special people and their position as very special will remain untouched...
... but it is better for the country as a whole, if the Scots and their wonderful individuality remain to be part of it...

I think the turning point was when the RBS Royal Bank  of Scotland  Announced it was moving South to England if the Scots voted for the divorce.

I watched the live BBC newscast all night long until Fife declared; that pretty much sealed it.  By my count, only three councils voted YES, is that right?  Glasgow and the Lanarkshires?

I am fascinated to see what happens next in the UK.  Looks like federalism may well be on the cards.

All in all an exciting, interesting night in history!

I think that it had a lot to do with it not being thought through in terms of currency.

Once I heard that Scotland would need a unanimous vote to be let into NATO and that Spain would never allow it, I figured it was a dead idea.

I think that it had a lot to do with it not being thought through in terms of currency.
