I've been having problems on a regular basis of running out of dialysate before my treatment is done.  I use 307s - two 25L treatments out of each.  Often we'd be from 0.2 to 1.5 L short.  I reported it to NxStage and the tech recommended that I ensure that the Pureflow is shut off as soon as rinseback is started (which we generally do).  She also that we could do a test to determine whether it was an issue with the SAK or cycler.  We hung bags Wednesday night and, sure enough, was 0.3L short of fluid!

I called NxStage again to report this at 10:30pm Wednesday night.  He said we'll swap out your cycler; it'll be there tomorrow.  Got a call from the courier at 3pm - "I'm picking it up at the airport; I'll be at your house in half an hour".  17 hours after calling NxStage, I had a brand-new cycler sitting on my Pureflow.  Didn't have to miss a treatment!  Very happy with the service!

Now we'll see if the problem continues...

April 2007 - Myself and sister also diagnosed with Senior-Loken Syndrome (Juvenile Nephronophthisis and Retintis Pigmentosa)

Since then, I've tried PD three times unsuccessfully, done In-Center hemo, NxStage short daily, Nocturnal NxStage, and had two transplants.  Currently doing NxStage short daily while waiting for a third transplant.

Married Sept. 2011 to my wonderful husband, James, who jumped into NxStage training only 51 days after our wedding!

Tech support and cycler swap outs from NXStage are fast and almost pain free. We've had three swap outs so far...and the last one they delivered on Labor Day!

The only minor complaint that has happened every time for us is...when they swap out the cycler-'someone' at NXStage schedules for the "bad" cycler to be picked up by UPS and sends out a call ticket for pick up. But, you guessed it, the courier has taken it every time and left us a receipt.

So we were left with UPS coming on multiple attempts to pick it up.  :Kit n Stik;

Now that I have the local zone rep for NXStage cell number...I just shoot him a text and we're good to go!

My name is Bruce and I am the caregiver for my daughter Holly who is 31 years old and received her kidney transplant on December 22, 2016 :)
Holly's Facebook Kidney  page: https://www.facebook.com/Hollys.transplantpage/

Holly had a heart transplant at the age of 5 1/2 months in 1990. Heart is still doing GREAT!  :thumbup;
Holly was on hemodialysis for 2.5 years-We did NXStage home hemo from January 2016 to December 22, 2016
Holly's best Christmas ever occurred on December 22, 2016 when a compassionate family in their time of grief gave Holly the ultimate gift...a kidney!
