He is the love of my life......

« on: March 24, 2007, 04:06:55 PM »

Hello All,  just wondering what you all are doing for Easter?  Any special stories to tell?   As for me and my hubby, i think we are going to stay home and BBQ and have some cousins over, hubby's birthday is the following day so we are going to try and keep it low key so we can go out the next day to the casino ;)   ::)

I do not celebrate Easter, so really nothing.  I might make an Easter box for my kids. My sister and I are going to each get a prepaid postage box and fill them as full as we can with stuff, then send them to my girls as suprise packages!

:clap; :clap; :clap; My parents are coming to stay. :clap; :clap; :clap;

I haven't seen my Dad since christmas, but my Mum came when Heph had the PD cath put in, in February. It will be really lovely to spend time with them though. We'll probably go to church and have a nice dinner early evening. Maybe Mum will even cook something! I usually send money to my nieces & nephews as I don't get to see them often.

I'll be making ham for the family, my siblings, my Dad and my fiancee.  And deviled eggs. It'll be a carry in,
so everyone else will bring/make something!  Since my fiancee and I have to travel to get to the primary
location (Dad's house), we won't be at church though. I'll make an Easter basket for my fiancee,
and maybe my son, who's coming home tomorrow night, from Basic!!!! Yay!!!!!

We are taking time off for the holiday but don't know what we are doing yet.  Possibilities range from Pismo Beach and Hurst Castle, to the Napa Valley and San Francisco, to hanging around here and waiting in long lines at various amusement parks.  What are you doing for the holiday and what should we be doing?

I was looking forward to spending sometimes outdoors for the long weekend but we are expecting snow  :banghead; again  ???  I think my fiance and I may go down to the flea market and shop around and then go into the city and choose our wedding bands.  Sunday night we will havew a nice dinner at my parents house.

We got snow today here in Indiana. Not much, just a dusting. But still. Oh well. I''m waiting for my nurse to
call me back. I am not draining nor filling properly. Same problem I had in December. Yay.

Snowing here for the past three days. Yuck. But Easter weekend is supposed to be really nice. All my kids are coming home, and of course my grandbaby. My parents are coming to town too. Laualie and I are going to sleep in her princess tent for the weekend, should be fun. Cooking ham for them and chicken for me. Stuffed potatoes for them, boiled for me. It's always like cooking two meals.

I'm flying to Chicago Saturday - after AM dialysis - and then flying home Tuesday AM so I can run Tuesday night.

My Mom sold the house, she's downsizing after 45 years. I wanted to see the house (all polished up and decluttered for sale) before I come back in June to help her move.

Hope there's no snow.

We don't have anything special planned. Our wedding aniversary is Good Friday(22 years).  The weather is not supposed to be nice this weekend - snow and freezing rain. We had freezing rain yesteray and last night.  The trees look pretty with the ice but the roads are slippery.  If it was going to be nice I was planning to go visit my mom.  Its about a 4 hour drive that I won't be dong this weekend.

I'm still working on getting my townhouse ready to sell, so my Easter weekend will be the same as every weekend lately: pack up boxes, haul them down to the garage. I need to have the living room cleared out, except for large furniture, by Tuesday morning. I have a tree trimmer coming sometime Sunday afternoon.
