I worked full time when I was on home hemo as well. I would come home at 5 PM, set up the machine and let it prime, make dinner/eat/clean up, then get started on the machine between 7-7:30. This meant I was done and in bed by 11:00 at the latest. Since I had to get up at 6 AM for work, that schedule worked the best for me so I could get as much sleep as possible.
Wow! You're to be commended for having such a great attitude and keeping a fulltime job! You make it sound like "nah, no biggie. I work, I come home, I eat, I dialyze then go to bed". You make something so hard sound so easy! Hope you keep it up. I've been at this for 6 months as my husband's carepartner and still have not perfected a routine yet. Oh, I setup/tear down the same each day but it's the rest of life that I am still having trouble fitting in around dialysis and just haven't found my groove yet. I'm a creature of habit and so thrive when I have a routine but nowadays, I feel all out of sorts trying to figure out how to fit in time to order supplies, do housechores, cooking, cleaning, stay on top of stuff AND have some sort of life outside dialysis!
