The following article shows the benefits to short daily dialysis (like NXstage) in reducing phosphorus, PTH, amd anemia.
One more study backing the use of more frequent dialysis.

I had problems keeping my K under 5.5; first labs on NxStage showed it at 4.1   Hope this is a sign of things to come.

Congatulations.  You will see all your numbers should be good. The system is great. I am a big fan of it.  It is a kinder , gentler dialysis that gets the job done with less harm to the body.
