Pain from PD fluid??

I started PD a week ago and the exchanges are going well, except I have sharp pains shooting through my abdomen day and night.  They are sort of like gas pains, but they are more intense and shoot up, down & sideways, so I know it's not gas/air.  My bags are clear and the PD nurse has no idea.  Anyone else experience this?

I had something like this although not as severe as what you've described. I could never quite tell whether it was coming from the surgery wound or from inside my abdomen. The nurse said it was just abdominal trauma from surgery. Anyway it went in a couple of weeks.

The only pains i have had was when i went onto a stronger solution, i couldnt straighten up when i had done an exchange and it felt like an almost burning sensation in my stomach , but as others say it may just be the trauma of the op needing time to settle.

I've had that pain as well, still do, every now and then. No rhyme or reason, either.
I have noticed when I go to a 4.5, that's when I get pains, so I have wondered.
It may be too much fluid going in, possibly air traveling around, the shoulder pain
is horrific! It is distinct from peritonitis. I've had that 3 times already in one year.
Taking deep breaths, bringing them in slowly and breathing out slowly seems to
help me. If possible, lying flat helps as well. Another trigger, now that I think of it,
is sitting upright. I don't know about anyone else, but I cannot sit upright in a chair.
I have to recline, somewhat. Kinda hard to do in church!!!
