  Hello My name is Nadia   I'm 34  from corpus Christi TX,just three months ago i went to the er  cause i had  pain on  my chest   and they check  me and  told me that something was  wrong with my kidneys and suddenly  they told me that they co lapsed and that my only option was dialysis. So from one day to another my whole life changed. at the moment i have the  venous catheter for temporary access  so u can imagine  how hard that is for me,  I'm getting ready to get a fistula but still  i feel lost  with all the changes so i hope  to find friends in here  i need  all the advice possible so i don't  feel so  lost  :oops; :oops;

OMG what shocking news for you!  How are you holding up?

I'm getting to that point myself and I have found this forum to be a treasure.  I haven't posted a great deal but I have read a lot.

Check out the humor section!  It's a happy way to learn about the ins and outs of your new circumstances.

Welcome to IHD Nadia    :welcomesign;. So sorry to hear you found out about your kidney problems in such a traumatic way. I also went to the ER in 2011 with congestive heart failure and found out while there that my kidneys were going bad. I just had a PD catheter and a fistula put in last week to start dialysis. I am glad you found your way here. Ask any questions you want as there are so many people here who have dealt with so many issues. I am a newbie like you to this site but it has helped me so much. Keep us updated and again welcome!

Hi Nady78, Welcome to IHD.  I'm so glad you found us.  Sorry you have to go through this.  Any chance your kidney function may return?

I hope you hang out here and ask questions.  You will do fine....

Oh boy Nadia, that is a nasty "welcome" to our wonderful world (note: sarcasm). I'm so sorry you had this overnight revelation/change to everything you knew about your life, and so many new requirements, restrictions, experiences, etc...

You have found a great community for advice, help, support and people who can understand and have probably experienced some of the things you are in one way or another.

Welcome to IHD and really hope to see more from you in our community and that we can help you on this road...

   :welcomesign;  to IHD. I am sorry you had to learn about CKD the way you did. It must have been a terrible shock to you. It has happened to many of the people here, too.so you are not alone. Come often and ask all you want to.
