"Asbestos Gelos"  (As-bes-tos yay-lohs) Greek. Literally, "fireproof laughter".  A term used by Homer for invincible laughter in the face of death and mortality.

Fifty pounds --yikes!  Will we even recognize you when, hopefully, you show up for the meet-up in Vegas?

Oh poor Kitz....

Can't she catch a break at all???.... Certainly a few weeks good care to let her strength back before home's a good idea...

Get well soon, Kitz.... I have many insults to throw your way yet!...

Love to all...

She's at a care facility. It's been a month since all of this started and KK still has a lot of healing to do.
I spoke with her tonight and she sounds frustrated and stressed.
But she also sounds determined and is grateful to have help from her family.
Nighttime is the hard time. She's having trouble sleeping.
Keep going forward Kit!  :bow;

 :flower;  UPDATE   :flower;

FYI: KK is currently without her cell phone and computer, hence why no one has heard from her this week.  She may get her computer back today - we will see.

As I type this, KK is still recovering at a care home in Pomona and asks that only family visits her at this time.  As always, prayers and happy thoughts for her speedy recovery are welcomed!

We also ask that if you want an update or want to talk to someone about Katherine's condition that you do not call her husband.  He's overloaded with everything that is going on and the phone calls are not helping.  Instead, feel free to message me on IHD.com or facebook (I'm the redheaded Anita Keller that posts things in KK's wall), and I will reply as time permits.

Thank you!

 :flower; UPDATE  :flower;

KK ended up back in the hospital last night thanks to her BP tanking about 30 minutes into dialysis.  She's there for at least overnight for observation.  Waiting for docs to do rounds to see if there is an update.

Rinse and repeat....you know the drill.

I just wish I could wrap a protective blanket of love around her to keep all this from happening.  :banghead; :banghead;

Poor Kitz....

Thinking of her... I miss her terribly!... If we weren't trading insults on IHD, FB or Skype, we were doing it by text... Life is certainly quiet without her...7

Get well soon, Kitz... I've loads more insults for you!...

Love...
