Hi All...
Most of you know that I'm full time carer to my mum, Elsie who has Renal Failure and Parkinson's Disease... The area of Dublin we live in is called Tallaght... There is a Tallaght Person of the Year Award, and we are trying to raise the profile of carers, and the contribution we make, not just financially, but socially to Tallaght by looking after our loved ones, citizens of Tallaght, at home...
The awards have been running for 29 years, but there has NEVER been a family carer winner... Several paid professionals have, but never a unpaid carer... This is where YOU come in.... I know it's a long shot, but if anyone knows of a carer, living in Tallaght, would you please take the time to nominate them???... We're trying to increase the profile of 'unofficial' care in the community....
