I wanna say nopaletos??? or something like that is suppose to be really good for diabetes.  Thats only what i 'think' i know :)

I don't have diabetes, so I can't comment on that. From a culinery standpoint, you only want fresh, not canned. The actual name is prickly pear cactus, comes from San Luis Potosi state.
