Hi there

I've used this forum for advice for a while but I thought I'd say hello.

I'm 37, was diagnosed with FSGS 15 years ago.  When I was getting worked up for the transplant list in May 2012, they found a cancerous lump on my right kidney.

I had it removed the following and began HD. I began CAPD in Sept 2012. There have been bumps but all is going well

So I'm now on CAPD, have to wait until June 2014 to go on a transfer list.

For what it's worth and while I know it's up to everyone to make their own decisions, I would highly recommend PD over HD!

Hello & welcome Tipp!  Iam spouse to one who is on the Big D.  I agree that any D done at home is great.  He did PD, but feels much better on Hemo.  Pd was probably not good for his situation.  But Pd has been great for others and that is a good thing!

Again welcome & God Bless,

Hi Tipp!   :welcomesign;
I do HD simply because I didn't want another tube in me! Glad it's working out for you!
