Going through life tied to a chair!

This should be under "Other Stupid Medical Conditions" but we don't have a section for that!

I've had a cold and my right ear plugged.  OK.... when is it going to up plug.  I'm on an antibiotic, I have Flownaze, I'm waiting......

Good thing I don't have a gun!  Geez!      :stressed;    :waiting;

Have you tried steaming up your head - it will loosen up your Eustachian tubes somewhat and might speed up your ear.

Suddenly it will unplug, and how wonderful that moment is.  I hope it isn't hurting, sometimes I get so frustrated with the deadheaded plugged up feeling that I start trying to 'adjust my ears' by holding my nose and blowing / sucking, which is all really bad, a really really bad idea, leading to pain and sadness.
Is flownaze one of those medications that dries up snot?  At some point, it will kick in.  I used codral.

My right ear is still plugged.  I even cried today but then realized it might make it worse.  I called an ear specialist and then hung up.  I have an appt with my GP on March 8.  OMG it is driving me insane.  I feel claustrophobic.

I got into an Ear Specialist on Friday.  He was very through and nice.  Well, so far he hasn't screwed up.  See, I start out nice....  He put me on Flownaze nose spray.  He showed me the correct way to use it.  I stand up and look down at my toes.  The bottle is pointed to the sky.  I put two squirts in each nostril but 'do not' sniff.  just let it go up and go into my ear canals.  It is a topical steroid.  It takes 2 weeks to become full strength so he said to take it the same time everyday and if I miss a day I'm starting all over.  Very important NOT to miss a day.

I sure hope it works.  He said my eustachian tube is stuck closed.
