My wife is an angel.

« on: February 21, 2007, 01:07:40 AM »

If this really sweet angel of mercy at the Dialysis center is gonna poke me, heck.  I can take a little pain as I breathe in her gorgeous hair and take in that lovely scent of a woman.  But if its some slob who penetrates my fistula and makes a gigantic hematoma -- heck that ruins not only my day, but the whole week!  So, I'm picky.  I go in and choose who is gonna poke me.  I mean, its my arm!  Its my pain, and its my right to choose.  I used to feel funny about that, but after a few experiences I've become a picky SOB and I don't care if someone doesn't like it.  On the other hand, I think its really important to make sure that those employees who do a good job get praised for it.  I actually write a commendation letter to their supervisor.  If you do this, be sure to give a copy to the employee so that she or he can make sure they get the appropriate commendation in their personnel file.

And by the way, Hi, I'm Jim.  I started this dialysis business on October 1 and yea, I hate it.  But I'm making the best of a bad situation by reading, playing games, flirting, whatever it takes to get through 3.5 hours 4 X a week.  I've gotten active in the clinic to take my mind off the whole thing, and done little things like make sure there is plenty of disabled parking available, and make sure the TV's work!  Other than that, I'm just Jim.  Best regards to everyone who reads this.

Hello just Jim and welcome to IHD.

I like your way of coping with dialysis, and it's great that you use your time to try and make things better for others.

Writing a letter when your treated well by an employee at the center is a great way to get treated good each time you go there.

It's great to have you here at IHD. If you have any questions just ask away and we will do our best to help.

You took the words right out of my mouth.
Welcome to our community.  You are going to fit right in, especially with people like Goofynina, one of our administrators.  You seem to have gotten the hang of this dialysis thing we have to endure and are making the best of a bad hand.  I am looking forward to hearing much more from you in the various sections of our website.  Welcome again!
