Blood clotting at fistula

Hi,
Not sure if this post should go here or somewhere else. Please move if necessary.

I have been reading about clotting problems in fistulas.
Without asking for specific medical advice, has anyone had experience with high platelet counts and clotting? My platelet count is always very high (had my spleen removed many many years ago) and was wondering if this might effect risk of clotting and whether this needs additional monitoring, adjustment of thinners etc.?

Haven't spoken to nephrologist yet so just looking for some general background info
